Welcome to the
Slavic Festival

The Slavic Festival is a lively two-day celebration of Slavic culture held each February or March at the Russian Center of San Francisco, bringing the Bay Area together for traditional food, music, art, and cultural experiences from across the Slavic world.

Where Slavic Culture Comes to Life

Slavic Festival is a vibrant annual two-day celebration of Slavic culture, typically held each February or March. This lively event brings the Bay Area together to experience the rich traditions, cuisines, music, and art of Slavic heritage.

Throughout the weekend, guests are treated to a full schedule of live performances across both floors of the venue, featuring talented folk dancers, musicians, singers and choral groups. Each year’s lineup is unique, but the festival always delivers two days filled with captivating music, energetic dancing, and cultural celebration.

Food is a highlight of the festival, with a delicious menu of traditional favorites from local vendors. Visitors can savor piping hot blini with classic toppings, borscht and dumplings, zakuski (appetizers) such as deviled eggs, mini piroshki, and lox, and explore unique vodka flavors like ginger, black currant, and horseradish. Don’t forget to stop by the dessert booth for cakes, sweets, and authentic Slavic tea.

The festival features a variety of handmade crafts from local artisan vendors. Families can enjoy the Kids Village, offering fun activities for children of all ages. Depending on the year, you might also experience folk dance classes, a costume contest, raffle with prizes, a visit with our mascot Mishka mascot, or group singing around the piano.
