Father Frost and Snegurochka

Come one, come all to the Children's Winter Holiday Fair - a delightful event that brings the joy and festive traditions of Eastern Europe to San Francisco.


Bring the whole family for an afternoon filled with holiday dance performances in Russian and English and traditional Eastern European food. Your kids will enjoy hands-on crafts, activities and book give-aways alongside tasty homemade treats. Parents can sip on warm mulled wine while browsing our collection of artisan crafts and gifts.


For a finale, Father Frost will join us and celebrate the coming of the season. Every child 12 and under will receive a surprise gift bag and take a photo with the big guy. Don't miss this chance to revel in the holiday spirit and take home some wonderful memories!

Event Schedule


1:00 - 1:45 | Doors Open

Celebrate the magic of the season with us! Enjoy a variety of children's activities, craft vendors, delicious food, mulled wine, and bake sale before our first performance. Browse a fascinating exhibit about the world-reknowned book, The Humpbacked Horse, or a special children's book giveaway hosted by the San Francisco Public Library.

1:45 - 2:15 | Act l: Winter Gifts and New Year Wishes

A festive holiday play, concluding with an interactive circle dance for children and attendees. Performed by students of the San Francisco Pacific Academy.

2:15 - 3:00 | Intermission

Children's activities, craft vendors, exhibits, food and beverages will be available.

3:00 - 3:30 | Act ll: Winter Dance Recital

A selection of dances performed by Russian Center Dancers, Bulgare Club, and Sukachov Dance Academy.

3:30 - 5:00 | A Visit from Father Frost

Children will enjoy receiving gifts and taking photos with Father Frost. Children's activities, craft vendors, exhibits, food and beverages will be available for the duration of the event.

Plus, they will offer a wonderful selection of children’s books in Russian to celebrate and support our multilingual community.

FAQs

Is the event family friendly?

Absolutely! The event is intended for families with children up to 17 years old. Every child 12 and under will receive a surprise gift bag from Father Frost.

Is the venue stroller and wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The venue is stroller and handicap accessible with an elevator that brings you to to the Fair.

Where can I park?

Free and metered street parking is available near the venue. There is a passenger loading zone right in front of the building for easy pick-up and drop-off.

Can I take public transportation to the venue?

The venue is centrally located and served by many Muni bus lines including the 1 California, 2 Sutter, 24 Divisadero, 38 Geary, and 43 Fort Mason. Check a Muni map for the best route from your location.
