Victor Arnautoff's Murals

Considered one of the most influential San Francisco muralists of the Depression era, Russian-American Victor Arnautoff worked in the expressive, social protest style of Diego Rivera. His art work ranged from portraits, still lifes, and landscapes early in his career to more socially conscious themes later. All of his murals were focused on humanist themes, including concerns about class, labor, and power.

With summer approaching, spend a day touring San Francisco and the larger Bay Area visiting Arnautoff’s local murals. Below is a summary of all of Arnautoff’s murals, locations and visiting hours to guide you on your journey.
